Abstract | Background: Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the gastrointestinal tract. However, rectal GISTs represent only 5% of this category. We report a case of a rectal GIST treated with local excision after neoadjuvant therapy. |
