The academic subject of the "Dermatoscopy" Master's Program is the provision of education and up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Dermatoscopy. In particular, the "Dermatoscopy" Master's Program will provide learners with the ability to recognize dermatoscopic structures and patterns, correctly assess their significance, and beneficially use dermoscopy in clinical practice.
The purposes of planning and running the "Dermatoscopy" Master's Program are summarized in the following:
1) The training-specialization of scientists in Dermatoscopy. The "Dermatoscopy" Master's Program offers a detailed analysis of the technique and equipment used, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the dermatoscopic criteria, their histopathological correspondence, and the dermatoscopic patterns of benign and malignant skin tumors.
2) The offer of documented clinical competence. In addition to teaching the method as such, the goal of the "Dermatoscopy" Master's Program is to educate clinicians on how dermatoscopy is combined in clinical practice in conjunction with other diagnostic methods to achieve the best diagnostic outcome for the benefit of patients. The health systems of more and more countries tend to require certified proficiency in dermoscopy for clinicians who screen the population for the diagnosis of skin cancer.
3) The approach to dermatoscopy from a methodological-research perspective. The field of dermatoscopy is one of the most dynamic research fields in dermatology in recent years. The students of "Dermatoscopy" Master's Program, repeatedly coming into contact with databases to search for studies, they become familiar with reading and analyzing them. They are also given the opportunity to participate in the real research process that takes place constantly in our department in the field of dermatoscopy, as shown by the numerous studies that have been published in recent years.
