PPS "Surgical Oncology of the Gastrointestinal Track"
Το ΠΜΣ με τίτλο «Χειρουργική Ογκολογία Πεπτικού» έχει ως γνωστικό αντικείμενο την εκπαίδευση των μεταπτυχιακών φοιτητών στις σύγχρονες εξελίξεις της χειρουργικής αντιμετώπισης των κακοήθων παθήσεων – πρωτοπαθών και μεταστατικών- των οργάνων του γαστρεντερικού συστήματος. Τα τελευταία χρόνια, η αύξηση της συχνότητας των νεοδιαγνωσθέντων κακοήθων παθήσεων του πεπτικού, και ιδιαίτερα στις νεαρότερες ηλικίες, καθιστά επιτακτική ανάγκη την εξειδίκευση στη χειρουργική αντιμετώπιση αυτών. Είναι πλέον αποδεδειγμένο ότι η μόνη και οριστική θεραπεία των παθήσεων αυτών είναι η χειρουργική αντιμετώπιση, η οποία σε πολλές περιπτώσεις συνδυάζεται και με θεραπευτικά πρωτόκολλα χημειο- ή/και ακτινοθεραπείας.

The curriculum of the Program entitled " Surgical Oncology of the Gastrointestinal Track" offers a single curriculum. For obtaining the Master's Degree of the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the Aristotele’s University of Thessaloniki. Postgraduate students are required to attend and be successfully examined in the 19 compulsory courses, which correspond to 90 ECTS credits, and to prepare the postgraduate diploma thesis, which corresponds to 30 ECTS, which they present publicly.

The qualification is a terminal award and allows access to doctoral studies.

Graduation requirements
The duration of study that leads to the awarding of the Postgraduate Studies Diploma (PSD) of the proposed Program is defined as a minimum of four (4) academic semesters, which also includes the time for preparation and assessment of the postgraduate thesis. In the first semester six (6) compulsory courses are taught, in the second semester also six (6) compulsory courses, in the third semester seven (7) compulsory courses and in the fourth semester the diploma thesis is prepared.
