Short CV: 

Aikaterini Amaniti graduated from the Medical School, University of Ioannina in 1997. She specialized in Anaesthesiology in AHEPA University Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece and she received her Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Anaesthesiology in 2003. She supported her Doctorate Thesis in 2007 and was awarded her PhD with Honors in the same year.
 
Postgraduate Studies: She trained in chronic Pain management in AHEPA University Hospital chronic Pain Unit after her CCST and in King’s College Hospital, London and Guy’s & St Thomas Hospital London, UK. She was appointed as an Emergency Medicine clinical Fellow in National Center of Emergency Care (EKAB) up to 2008 and as a Consultant Anesthetist in the AHEPA University Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece, up to 2012. Since January 2012, she has had an academic appointment in the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Medical School, currently as an Associate Professor in Anesthesiology/chronic pain management.
 
Teaching experience: She is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, in Medical school undergraduate and postgraduate courses. She is also serving as coordinator in the elective course of chronic pain management in interdepartmental Posstgraduate Program in Contemporary Medical Practice. She is also Member of the three-faculty member supervising committee of 5 PhD Theses (and senior supervisor in three of them. She also teaches chronic pain in postgraduate educational program in surgical nursery. She has also participated as a teacher in National educational program in Emergency medicine for 5 years (2004-2009), as well as in Committee for European Education in Anesthesiology (CEEA, 2005-2020).
 
Administrative and Scientific Activities. She is the Director of Chronic Pain Management Unit of AHEPA University Hospital since December 2014. She has been a member of the Organizing and scientific Committee in five Greek Congresses. She has been a President in scientific sections in 3 Greek Congresses. She is actively involved in research and in the organization of Scientific Meetings in the Anaesthesiology Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Medical School.  She has also been involved as a researcher in «SelfPainRelief, Recovering life wellbeing through pain self-management techniques involving ICTs RELIEF PCP Phase. She is Member of Research - Scientific Committee of the Greek Division of ESRA (ESRA-Hellas) for the period 2019-2021. She is also member of the Board of Society of Anesthesiology and Critical Care of She
 
Participation in Congresses and Scientific Meetings: She has attended 20 Postgraduate Courses and Seminars and 42 Congresses and Scientific Meetings in Greece and abroad. She has participated as invited speaker in 43 Greek Congresses Seminars and Scientific Meetings and in two International Scientific Meetings. She has participated with 21 presentations in International Meetings and with 40 presentations in Greek Scientific Meetings. Finally, she has been awarded 8 prizes for scientific studies, 7 in Greek Scientific Meetings and one in International scientific meeting (Second prize in “Trainee Research Prize Competition” 9th annual meeting of European Society of Anaesthesiologists, Gothenburg 7-10/4/2001”).
 
Scientific publications-Editorial Work: She has 60 full publications in peer-reviewed international journals (59 in SCI journals and one in a non-SCI journal) as well as 15 full publications in Greek Scientific journals. She has also 20 abstract publications in international journals. She has participated as an author of 7 chapters in 2 Greek scientific books. She is a Member of the Editorial Board of the journal “the Greek e-journal of perioperative medicine. She is a Reviewer in one peer-reviewed international journal. Finally she has participated in the review of studies submitted for presentation in Greek Scientific meetings. .
