Dr. Anna-Bettina Haidich is a Professor in Medical Statistics-Epidemiology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She graduated from the Department of Statistics, Athens University of Economics in 1996 and received her MSc degree in Medical Statistics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK in 1997. During 1998-1999, she has worked as a biostatistician at the Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research of the Harvard School of Public Health. She received her Ph.D. from the Medical School of the University of Ioannina in 2003.

Research interests of Dr. Haidich focus on evidence synthesis, and she has published 196 articles in international journals with more than 5340 citations and an H-index=36. These publications comprise methodological articles, empirical studies, clinical applications, and tutorials. From 2014 she serves as an Expert for the European Medicines Agency and participates in the Biostatistical Working Party. From 2018 to 2020, she served as a Scientific Member on Greece's Committee for Assessment and Reimbursement of Medicinal Products for Human Use. Recently, she became a member of the International Society for Clinical Biostatistics and of the Advisory Board for the Evidence Synthesis Taxonomy Initiative.

Dr. Haidich has acted as a statistical advisor for the three journals while as a reviewer for several journals. She is the director of the MSc program “Health Statistics & Data Analytics”, School of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and teaches a number of courses at under- and post-graduate level including Medical Statistics, Epidemiology, Evidence Based-Medicine, Clinical trials and Systematic Review and Meta-analysis and has been repeatedly honored with prizes for excellence in teaching. Has supervised several MSc theses and 4 PhDs where three have been awarded Excellent with Distinction and two were supported by a post-graduate scholarship from the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation.
